ABOUT
Midwest Erosion Control (MEC) is locally owned and operated in Dickinson, ND. MEC is an revegetation and erosion control company servicing residential, commercial, and energy development in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. MEC is backed by the expertise of its owners and strategic relationships. These relationships have been strengthened over years of servicing construction and O&G clients.
In 2017 MEC merged with Landstar Construction located in Bismarck, ND. Landstar has over 20 years of experience seeding and installing erosion control. Landstar will continue to have a focus in the highway and energy sectors.
MEC utilizes best management practices to mitigate cost and detrimental effects of unhindered erosion. These methods have been proven to reduce time and money associated with recurring erosion and runoff issues. They have been used for both private and Federal lands, and they comply with strict Federal and State Regulations. Our solutions are safe, effective, economical, and environmentally friendly. MEC is a member of both IECA and NESCA.
At MEC safety is our highest priority. MEC uses industry leading innovation and practices to protect our employees and the environment. Our goal is Zero incidents with everyone returning home the way they came to work and leaving the environment in a better state than when we started. We strive towards this with our rigorous safety policies which include OSHA 10 certification, H2S training, First Aid / CPR, and client specific training including MSHA and ECCS. Compliance is maintained though ISNetworld. We maintain a drug and alcohol free work environment though DISA monitoring. All of our equipment is inspected daily and routinely maintained to ensure it is maintained in working order. Our employees are provided with the best safety equipment for each task

Along with repairs to Oil and Gas pad, Pipeline work MEC has Completed several larger scale projects including:
Lonetree Wildlife Management Area for ND Game and Fish of 1180 acres in 2008.
Bison Wind Farm (496.36 MW) near New Salem of 3000 acres from 2010 to 2014.
ND Public Service Commission projects of 500 acres each in 2008 and 2010.
